Storyline

In a seaside town in 1987, a shy young woman and an outgoing party girl strike up a powerful bond that seems to defy the laws of space and time.

‍Although meant to represent a Californian beach town, San Junipero was actually shot in Cape Town, South Africa. As was another in Season 3, Nosedive.
Very early on in the episode we see Mackenzie Davis playing coin-op video games in the eighties which the she is also seen doing in the beginning of series Halt and Catch Fire (2014)
